Making an Entrance

,Making an Entrance

We always want to make the best first impression we can when meeting new people, so why not do the same in our home? After all, when someone enters your home for the first time, what they see in those first moments sets the stage for the rest of your home.
There are so many options for decorating your entryway that are both pretty and practical. Hanging a mirror creates a focal point that reflects light and is practical for checking your appearance on your way out the door. Hooks can be added for storage of jackets and bags, and baskets or shelves can be used for shoe storage. Placing a small tray or container on a surface becomes a drop spot for keys, change and the post.

On The Move

We are officially house hunting!  We couldn't be more excited to start this journey of home ownership! I'm not sure how long this process will take for us, since we have some specific needs, but we are on the hunt for our perfect house.

So far, we have seen a few houses, bid on one, and lost the bid. We are currently waiting for more houses to come on the market in our area.

It seems like so many people are able to go through this whole process quickly, so I applaud those who do, because at this rate, I almost feel like we will be signing papers in the spring! #kiddingnotkidding

Gypsy Hideout

I dream of my own gypsy wagon, in a corner of my backyard. A retreat from the real world, where my husband and I could escape anytime we want.

A few years back, my husband and I went on a camping trip, where we spotted several gypsy caravan wagons nestled into the trees. We were both smitten with them, but my husband more so since he is from Europe and has a gypsy family heritage. #gypsysoul

Then, last summer while we were vacationing in Oregon, he had to pose next to the gypsy flag at a cute little shop in Bandon. He's drawn to anything related to gypsy heritage!

I would absolutely love to build a gypsy wagon for us some day. There is so much inspiration in the world, both old authentic caravans and new designs inspired from the past.
